The READY FOR THE ROAD YOUTH responsible driver programe is a 20 hour group for young people who are at risk of future 'driving offending' and are looking to develop and build responsible driving habits. The aim is to be part of the journey towards becoming a safe, responsible, and licenced driver. We will guide and support you to make changes towards this goal, to deal with environmental triggers, to learn better ways to cope, to find the right supports, and ultimately to pass your learners licence test, which is the end part of this programme. This group is run on Marae or in Community Centres in Auckland and aimed at young people aged 16-18.
This group is run over 5 consecutive days and is funded by Auckland Transport and supported by the police, who play a vital role in mentoring and supporting attendance.
The ROADWORTHY STUDENT responsible driver programe is a 6 hour education group which we run in schools and educational facilities for students aimed 15-18. Again funded by Auckland Transport this programme aims to equip students to deal with pressures and influences that lead to 'at risk' driving and become safe responsible road users.
Both these groups are delivered by Harmony Trust group leaders who are experienced and trained in workling with young people. Please calls us or email for more information.
