Harmony Trust offers the intensive, brief intervention home based Family Harmony programme which runs for 12 weeks. Designed promote harmonious relationships and support behaviour change within the family, this programme can be run as a Faka-tonga' or Pasifika intervention in Tongan or English language. The aim of Family Harmony is to offer a supportive 'extended family' approach, in being approachable and available to the family in question when they are in need. Typically people are referred and funded by CYFS but anyone can refer themselves.
Family Harmony is a true therapy programme delivered in a sensitive and culturally appropriate way. The journey towards may include in turn: liaison and negotiation with CYFS social worker and other professionals involved, assessment of family need and goals, review of CYF documents and records, safety planning, family meetings, home visits involving family and individual therapy, and weekly family therapy sessions. The HT leaders are qualified counsellors and experienced group therapy leaders.

Harmony Trust has an experienced and varied team of counsellors available for individual and couples counselling at low cost (sliding scale for payment depending on your income). We can provide 'general' counselling, alcohol and drug counselling, family and couples therapy, counselling with youth, and anger management.
We have both male and female counsellors, of Pakeha/Palangi and Tongan background. Our service speciality is Tongan language/fakatonga and pasifika counselling, and we also run an 'island based' counselling service from Nukualofa, Tonga.
